Yael Baldwin
Psychologist - PhD
I am a psychologist (seeing individuals and couples), author, and Professor Emerita of Clinical Psychology. I earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology and have studied how humans turn suffering into flourishing for decades. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who wish to explore and navigate life transitions, relational struggles and desires, and shift long-embedded patterns that may be hurting rather than helping. In sessions, we attune to conscious and unconscious patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that comprise the themes of our lives and relations. Such patterns may have had excellent reasons for arising, but may no longer be serving. I work with people to shift these patterns so that individuals and couples may experience less misery and more thriving and connection. I utilize a variety of techniques and theories in my work; my primary orientation is psychodynamic/existential and I’ve been in the clinical psychology field for over two decades. Working together, we discover ways to release from constricting patterns that bind and cause pain, and to open more opportunities for growth and flourishing.
