LCMHC
PLEASE NOTE AT THIS TIME I AM NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. My approach to working with clients is relationship-based and I believe that people learn and grow by means of our experiences with and through one another. I don’t believe your struggles are a mistake or a failure or rooted in a single cause. Rather than focusing on quickly resolving problems, or coming up with strategies that may or may not actually help, I focus on how together we can stay at the evolving edge of your inner psychological ecosystem and pay subtle attention to information we find there. That information comes through our dreams, our bodies, our personal circumstances, and many other places. Once we can shine the light of awareness on an issue in a new way, clients frequently find that they can experience their problems from a different and more spacious perspective that allows for possibilities that seemed impossible before.
Over the last 6 years I have worked in a variety of residential and outpatient settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I have post-graduate training in somatic approaches to trauma, expressive arts therapy, and narrative therapy. I have multiple years of experience working in substance abuse treatment and wilderness settings.
A healthy therapeutic relationship encourages clients to express things they may currently struggle to give voice to. I am here to reflect back to you what I hear, see, and feel during our time together so that you may begin to recognize yourself differently and be able to make different choices as a result.
