Tina Schmidt
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist -
Hello, My name is Tinamarie.
My therapy approach is about you. Seriously. You.
I approach it as if I am the GPS of your wellness. You identify the general destination you want to move towards and I provide support, direction and feedback. You are the expert in you. You will ultimately be the one living with your decisions and your direction so you should be the one “driving the car”.
People who have generally gotten the most from working with me, tend to have strong initiative, a sarcastic and dark sense of humor and a bit of a chip on their shoulder.
They are very tired of wanting change but not being able to realize it. Their coping skills are usually avoidance, anger, sarcasm, and at times too much alcohol. Their relationships are either close to or completely in disarray and they are struggling to hold on to the good stuff in their life.
I know trauma, anxiety, anger and frustration. I have been there “and got the t-shirt”. I have also done the work for myself in order to help you do the same.
Therapy is challenging hard work when you are putting in the effort. It is also VERY rewarding and liberating. Let’s work together to get you to THAT destination.
