Thomas Tucker
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist -
Welcome! I believe that everyone has within them the capacities to live a happy and meaningful life, and yet anyone can get stuck and need help getting back on track.
My approach is to provide a space where exploring difficult and vulnerable issues is safe and confidential, and where you can feel heard and understood by a compassionate listener. By working together collaboratively, we can gain insights into sources of difficulty and find ways to resolve them. We’ll begin to discover and develop your inner strengths and wisdom to find a path forward.
I have over 10 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with expertise in evidence-based strategies that lead to positive outcomes and long-term change. Prior to becoming a social worker, I obtained a PhD in Neuroscience, which informs my work as a therapist. By integrating neuroscience with psychotherapy, I am able to help clients recognize and understand connections between the mind, brain, and body. In the past, I worked as a hospice volunteer, providing support to patients during their final days of life; and at a homeless shelter, I helped people struggling to overcome hardships.
I know that reaching out for support can be a difficult first step, and it is also a very courageous step that can lead to significant and purposeful changes in your life. Please feel free to contact me for a free consultation. I’d be very interested to talk with you and share ways that I may be able to provide help.
