Tamera Sweeton
Counselor - LCPC, LPC, LMFT
I believe that each individual has infinite potential with an internal wisdom of resources to live a joyful and vital life. However, discovering those gifts can be difficult and often times, far away in the midst of emotional pain. In bringing this philosophy to my helping profession, I integrate many holistic principles within my therapeutic/clinical approach for whole-healing (mind, body, spirit.) I embrace diversity and believe that every individual has within them the ability to heal wholly; to discover their true self. I also support the belief that every individual is the expert of their life. Thus, an exceptional mental health professional is one that walks alongside of their clients on their healing path to offer wise, clinical guidance that ultimately helps to bring clarity and focus to their client’s struggles. It is my true privilege to work with individuals, couples, and families that are seeking help to resolve emotional struggles or simply seeking clarity and support through a life transition. I believe that all transformation and lasting change takes place with a willing client and a perceptive therapist working in a collaborative spirit; focusing on the process; not “just” the end result.“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters in the end.” ~Ursula K. Le Guin
