Tabitha Sanchez

National Certified Counselor, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern -

Welcome! I want to take a moment to congratulate you on taking the first step on the journey of recovery. Know that I am here to make this as easy a journey as possible. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can be understood, heard, and not judged. My desire is to help you become a better version of yourself by providing you with the necessary tools so you can live a more productive, healthy, and happy life. I attempt to make receiving services as easy as possible by meeting in the community, office, school, or at home in selected areas. I offer a flexible schedule to meet your needs. My interest in counseling began after I took an introduction to psychology class in high school. After that class, I knew that this was the field that I wanted to pursue. In order to reach my goal, I began my journey by getting my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University. During this time, I interned at PACE Center for Girls, an alternative school that offers mental health services to adolescent females. My time at PACE confirmed to me that I wanted to pursue counseling. This lead me to Florida International University where I received a Masters of Science in Counseling Education with a Mental Health Counseling Track. During my time at FIU, I gained the necessary skills to work with preteens, teens, and adults in both individual and group settings. I have worked with various mental health disorders, self-injury, and substance use. I am a National Certified Counselor and a registered mental health intern for the state of Florida. More importantly, I am here for you.
