Su Fern Khoo
Marriage & Family Therapist -
There are moments in every person’s life when things seem “just not quite right.” These moments can come to us for a myriad of reasons: Unexpected change or loss, cumulative struggles with self or others, relationship patterns that do not seem to change no matter how hard we try, unprocessed trauma or difficult childhood experiences, loneliness, fears, underlying feelings of unhappiness, anxiety or restlessness, and more. These are the moments we seek clarity, meaning, new direction, or just a grounded way to manage our emotions and behaviors that have significantly spilled over and impacted our lives.
I know that feeling heard, seen, understood, and connected to someone you trust in a safe and non-judgmental space is essential to the processing and healing of our deepest issues. This is the holding space I provide.
I am trained and experienced in various trauma-informed evidence-based therapies, which I tailor to each client’s personal journey. These include cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, existential psychotherapy, Jungian psychoanalytical approaches, family systems, attachment theory, emotion-focused therapy approaches, and mindfulness-based therapy.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I strive to combine my skills, experience and warmth toward the healing and wholeness of my clients. Through a nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship and a culturally sensitive and open-minded environment, I accompany and collaborate with my clients toward their goals for growth and healing.
