Art therapy opens a world of possibilities! Feeling overwhelmed by life? Stressed out? Fear of what’s to come? Big life change? In my practice, we work as a team to tackle your problems head on. Through art therapy, we work to help you confront your issues in a supportive way and give you the tools to continue handling them on your own, both in and out of therapy. My goal as the therapist is to support and empower you. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are caring for a loved one with a chronic health or mental health issue, or an aging relative/partner or small children. Often times caregivers carry emotional, financial and psychological stress. These stressors may lead to feelings of frustration, anger and even shame. therapy can offer a space to process those feelings and lessen the sense of being overwhelmed and isolated. Art Therapy can help you explore your emotions, your stressors and your strengths through the creative process. Through the use of sculpting, painting, drawing, collage and a range of other materials, art therapy can give you the tools and empowerment to deal with whatever life throws at you.
