I specialize in helping people improve their relationships. I’ve helped many types of people, in many types of relationships.
I work with older adolescents, individual adults, couples and families. I work with couples where there has been aggressiveness and/or infidelity. Domestic violence and emotional abuse in relationships has long been my specialty. I also help those in throuples, poly, and open relationships. And I have a knack for helping those who work in the sex industry. I’m LGBTQ friendly. I understand and am comfortable working with the complexities of modern relationships.
I teach a highly effective Emotional Regulation program. Couple’s and Family Therapy. Social Anxiety specialist. I offer EMDR therapy as well (used for e.g., deprogramming Core Negative Beliefs, and instill Core Adaptive Beliefs). I’m Positive Psychology focused, believing that people tend to live up to your view of them.
Credentials: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider, Marriage & Family Therapist-Associate, and Nationally Certified Counselor. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Trinity Univ., 2 Masters degrees (Professional Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy) from Amberton U., and a Doctorate in Family Psychology from Capella University. Publications include “Why Men Batter” in Canadian Journal of Adlerian Psychology, 2006.
