Dr. Stephanie Christine Lang, PhD

Counselor -

I’m Positive Psychology focused, believing that people tend to live up to your view of them. Whether you have had a long history of destructive relationships or this is the first time you’re having issues, I can help you turn your relationship(s) around. I’ve helped many types of people, in many types of relationships.
I work with older adolescents, individual adults, couples and families. I work with couples where there has been aggressiveness and/or infidelity. Domestic violence and emotional abuse in relationships has long been my specialty. I also help those in throuples, poly, and open relationships. And I have a knack for helping those who work in the sex industry. I’m LGBTQ friendly. I understand and am comfortable working with the complexities of modern relationships.
I teach a highly effective Emotional Regulation program. Couple’s and Family Therapy. Social Anxiety specialist. I offer EMDR therapy as well (used for e.g., deprogramming Core Negative Beliefs, and instill Core Adaptive Beliefs). And I do only Telehealth = video (or phone) sessions.
Credentials: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP), Marriage & Family Therapist-Associate (LMFT-A), and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Trinity Univ., 2 Masters degrees (Professional Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy) from Amberton U., and a Doctorate in Family Psychology (with a speciality in Family Psychology) from Capella University. Publications include “Why Men Batter” in Canadian Journal of Adlerian Psychology, 2006.
I strive to provide a safe and encouraging environment and a non-judgmental atmosphere where I can collaborate with you to identify and move toward your growth goals.
To schedule your first session please email me your full name, phone number & email address where you’d like to receive your appointment reminders. You’ll be set up in (and receive an email from) my client portal. You then go to that and complete my paperwork, upload your insurance info., and click on the Calendar tab to request your first appointment.
