Sophia Esparza

Clinical Social Worker/Therapist -

Welcome! Finding and initiating care with a therapist can be overwhelming. But you have taken that first step and I am happy to speak with you to determine if we can be the right fit for one another. I predominantly work with young professionals, individuals dealing with life transitions and disruptions, stress and burnout. Anxiety, depression and stress are rooted in our culture and we have the collective tendency to override our stress response, and not allow ourselves enough time to recover and heal. Together, we can work towards building awareness and learn to self-regulate in order to feel a greater connection to others.Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we will examine the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors and target irrational or maladaptive thoughts in order to change behavior and improve your mood. The goal is for you to feel empowered to confidently manage your issues, through tangible skills learned in therapy.I believe that the client/therapist relationship is one of the most important aspects of the therapeutic process. I am here to meet you where you are at. You are the expert in your life, but I hope to be able to help you gain insight, build on your strengths and develop better coping strategies so you can experience more balance in your daily life.
