Shannon Bruckner
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LCSW, CAADC
I have found my home working with survivors of emotional trauma. From 2012-2013 I completed a graduate internship at the Tree House in Winder, where I provided trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy to children who had survived sexual and physical abuse. From 2013 to 2015 I worked at Partnership Against Domestic Violence in Gwinnett County, where I provided crisis counseling on the 24-hour hotline, as well as case management and advocacy for the women and children who resided in the shelter. Since 2015 I have been working with Alliance Recovery Center as an addictions therapist. We specialize in medication assisted treatment for opiate addiction, which is the gold standard for addiction treatment. I decided to take on private practice in 2018 in addition to my work at ARC, so that I can spend more time with trauma survivors.
