I can help you work through old patterns and traumas using tools you may not have tried before including (but not limited to!) behavioral activation, cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization & reprogramming (EMDR), music and art therapies and more. One of my specialties is to help differentiate medical and mental health challenges and will guide you towards seeing a doctor, taking medication or using healing plants & herbs if that is what seems to be needed. Lastly, I can teach you ways to manage pain, anxiety, depression and discomfort using specific thoughts, meditations, spiritual practices and music.
Over the last few years, I have developed a niche` working with visual artists on issues such as self-esteem, motivation, emotional expression, impact of trauma on current work, navigating the “mindfield” of comparisons and goal-setting.
With over 30 years of clinical experience, I work with clients from many different ethnic backgrounds, nationalities, religions and communities. Each client is unique so treatment is customized to meet each client’s specific needs and to build on their strengths. Video/remote therapy is available using the Zoom platform.
