I work with individuals who are coping with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, marital difficulties, decreased self-esteem, anger management, stress management, dual-diagnosed symptoms of bi-polar disorder and schizophrenia, life transitions and provides guidance on setting personal and professional goals. I help individuals become empowered to explore and learn about their issues while providing an empathetic and understanding relationship. “When an individual feels understood and not judged then it sets the pathway for awareness and change.” I embrace the idea that the individual has freedom, responsibility and the self-determination to shape his or her own life.My interventions are integrated depending on the individual’s personality, life experiences, cultural background and I adapt my approach to the needs of the individual. Several interventions practiced by me are: Person-Centered Approach, Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Mindfulness.I help my clients discover the causes of their concerns and implement strategies that will help them achieve their goals. My passion lies in helping children, teens and adults find balance and satisfaction in their lives. I specialize in helping people feel calmer and more relaxed, cope with life’s stressors and, help to increase happiness in their daily lives. I work with clients in a collaborative manner to help develop the strengths and skills needed for you to reach your goals.I have worked with couples, families and individuals from varying cultural and social economic backgrounds. I have extensive experience with children and adolescence in various settings as well as working with victims of domestic violence.I have a passion for helping my clients navigate through life’s hardships by helping them build upon their strengths. I provide clients a comforting and welcoming environment, while also challenging and empowering my clients to step outside of their comfort zone in order to create growth.
