Have you ever experienced something that was severely distressing or life-threatening? Those experiences are what we call Trauma, which comes from the Greek word for “wound”. Trauma ultimately causes problems in your relationships, work, school, and self-esteem. You no longer feel like you can trust yourself or the world around you. This can be helped though. I use a combination of Brief therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness to help put you back in the driving seat of your life.My clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by their personal pain and experiences and misunderstood. They leave feeling like they have control over their lives and their thoughts again.
