Scott Hoye
Psychologist - Psy.D.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I hold a master’s in counseling psychology, and a doctorate degree in psychology. I have experience working in diverse settings and with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. This experience includes private practice, children’s psychiatric hospitals, and psychiatric wards, and rehabilitation. I use cognitive behavioral and interpersonal therapy, and sometimes mind-body (clinical hypnosis, biofeedback, mindfulness) techniques. I am experienced in clinical hypnosis, and train other professionals.
My goal is to help people resolve their problems in a timely fashion, and provide a measure of peace. I work in a collaborative manner with my clients. During your first visit, I typically spend a lot of time getting to know you, and helping you to feel comfortable with me. Later, I may give a person homework to do in-between sessions. Some people find such activities insightful.
My office is handicapped accessible, in a large office building. There is security at the front desk, and the office is accessed with an elevator. The space is quite, calm, and clean. I offer evening and weekend hours. Please feel free to call or email for a free consultation.
