Marriage & Family Therapist - LAMFT
I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) providing premarital education, relationship coaching, and individual relationship counseling to dating, engaged, married, and same-sex couples. I am a wife and dog mom with a passion for helping clients enrich their relationship through discovering their strengths and growth areas. I hold my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University. I also have my law degree and a Master of Business Administration, and bring a wide range of professional and life experience to my practice.
I believe that we all have the capacity to lead healthy, strong, fulfilling lives, to enjoy positive, satisfying relationships, and to create better versions of ourselves through acceptance and change. However, we do not always have the tools or the skills to do it alone, and having a supportive, collaborative partner in the process can make all the difference. I believe an empathetic and accepting environment leads to an open and trusting relationship, which is one of the greatest indicators of change. I work from a strengths-based, skills approach, working with couples to learn about each other, prepare for/continue a lifetime together, and discuss values around communication, conflict resolution, financial management, parenting, and other topics.
My office is dog-friendly! I am active in dog rescue, strongly believe in the healing power of dogs, and invite clients to bring their dogs to session.
