Samuel Khanukayev, MFT
Asking for help is a vulnerable and courageous act, especially when states of despair and anxiety consume one’s world and force being into isolation. It would be an honor for me to answer your call. To see and hear you. Hold the unbearable with you. And help you discover and embody your stronger, freer and vital self.
My approach to psychotherapy is primarily depth oriented and I utilize psychodynamic, existential and mindfulness-based interventions. Since 2012, I’ve been practicing psychotherapy in outpatient settings and served individuals with diverse cultural, racial and sexual identities. Majority of my clinical experience focused on treating complex trauma, stress disorders, anxiety, depression, substance dependency, loss and bereavement, and interpersonal challenges.
I facilitate a safe and reflective environment for exploration of existential questions linked to identity, relationships, meaning and purpose. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I will help you access and process feelings, thoughts and fantasies that are contributing to suffering and limiting your freedom. Together, we’ll work on discovering your authentic desires and expressing your subjectivity.
Initial phone or in-person consultation is free of charge. Intention is for both us to ask questions and see if we should work together.
