Sade Thompson-Bell, LMFT
Psychotherapist -
On average, it can take an individual with OCD up to 17 years from the onset of symptoms to receive a proper diagnosis and begin receiving effective treatment. I help my clients work towards overcoming difficulties with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety-related Disorders, and Personality Disorders.
I also support LGBTQ+ individuals as they explore their identities or other concerns related to mental health while providing a welcoming and supportive environment. When seeking therapy, whether for issues related to one’s romantic, sexual, or gender identity or for mental health concerns, having a competent mental health professional who has knowledge and experience with the difficulties members of the LGBTQ+ community often face can be crucial to successful treatment results.
I offer individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing an integrative approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, and Client-Centered strategies dependent on my client’s needs. I am also certified in LGBTQ+ affirmative psychotherapy.
I have worked with many different populations and age groups. I provide a culturally competent approach as a part of my treatment method to help build a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe that psychotherapy should be unique to one’s culture, spiritual beliefs, and values. I meet clients where they are and move at their pace. My treatment psychotherapy approach is adapted per individual to meet clients’ specific needs. I strive to make quality, evidence-based mental health services available to all members of our community.
If you would like a brief consultation, I welcome you to send an email, give me a call, or text. I am also the CEO of Bell OCD and Anxiety Treatment Center. Please visit the website listed in the profile to learn more about symptoms, take quizzes, therapists and therapy approaches, etc.,
