Psychologist Assistant -
Let’s be real – finding the right therapist sucks. Everyone’s profile says pretty much the same thing and you’re put in the impossible situation of deciding which acronyms will help you – is it CBT, ACT, DBT? Finding the right fit can feel like finding a needle in a haystack. That’s why I aim to be as transparent as possible both in my profile and in our work so you have the power to decide if we would be a good fit.
I’m not the kind of therapist who spends sessions giving you affirmations or superficial self-care tips – I don’t think they work and the folks I work with are looking for change that is deeper and more authentic. I see my job as creating a space for you to talk through whatever is keeping you up at night and why you feel stuck in moving forward. Together we can cut through the layers of internalized messages that may cause you to doubt or lose confidence in yourself and help you reconnect with your authentic self.
Specific problems I can help with include navigating difficult or confusing relationships, depression and anxiety, difficulties with a transition or a big move, and problems around self-esteem and self-worth. If you feel like we’d be a good fit, please reach out via phone or email (I tend to respond to emails quicker) so we can schedule a free consultation. If you’re interested in my approach, but my specialties don’t seem to fit your needs, you can still feel free to reach out for a consultation so we can determine if we’d be a good match.
I encourage you to contact me via phone (510-379-7228) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) so we can learn more about each other to see if we would be a strong fit in working together. I am a psychological assistant, working under the supervision of Dr. Rachel Robbins (license #22646).
