Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - MS, LPCC 5293, PPS
Everyone deserves a compassionate understanding of themselves. As we navigate through life, we are faced with uncertainties, challenges, feelings of stagnation, and cyclical internal conflict. Through setting a positive, non-judgmental, collaborative environment I hope to help you walk through your daily life with health, happiness, balance, and ease. Together we can work to help build confidence, gain insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop the emotional tools to find your inner balance and achieve a sense of general wellness.
Utilizing an eclectic approach to psychotherapy to work toward your therapeutic goals, we have a number of counseling theories to draw from, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, Humanistic Theory, and Mindfulness Practice. In addition, at the Institute of Holistic Psychiatry (Ambrose office) we also offer a mind-body approach to your treatment with in-house acupuncture and psychiatry services available.
Prior to seeking my clinical license in California, I have had over a 10 years of experience working with creative professionals and adolescents coping with issues including anxiety, depression, anger issues, relationship dysfunction as well as athletic and performance art potential. More specifically, I will help you reflect on emotional expectations, mend fractured relationships, and find balance in daily life.
Since 1995, I’ve assumed many different roles in the world of wrestling, jiu-jitsu and the martial arts. I’ve spent extensive time coaching, competing, and conducting workshops and women’s self-defense seminars throughout the Northeastern United States. In addition to my experience with martial arts, I have a profound passion for the ocean and have been surfing and teaching others to surf for over a decade. Through my passions and professional experience, I hope to bring a different perspective to our counseling sessions that can result in new insights as we work to promote positive change, resilience, and self-reliance.
