Bobby Liebman
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist - LCSW
Psychotherapy can be a powerful tool for positive change in a person’s life and it is my goal to offer a safe and supportive setting for this work. I don’t subscribe to a “one-size-fits-all” approach to working with clients. Instead drawing upon decades of experience, I incorporate a variety of approaches and collaborate with my clients to find the best match for their needs; which may include EMDR, befriending internal parts, attachment-focused work, and mindful awareness practices. Regardless of approach, the relationship we build provides the catalyst for healing and growth.
My clients often present with anxiety, depression, panic symptoms or relationship problems; and they may even complain of physical symptoms such as chronic headaches or stomach distress. Most often the underlying issue is unprocessed or unintegrated trauma-either obvious, “big T” traumatic experiences, or more subtle “little t” traumatic events.
There is much more to the therapeutic process than just listening and I am not a therapist who just sits there or says “uh ha” repeatedly. I think you will find me to be a warm, compassionate and engaged collaborator in your process of transformation. I welcome the opportunity.
