Dr. Richard Stapleton
Licensed Mental Health Counselor -
Our lives can be busy and filled with daily stress. Sometimes this stress leads us to believe we made the wrong choices when it comes to our relationships or career. Sometimes we begin to doubt our abilities and we compare our performance to what we see in others. During times of stress, we can develop coping styles that are unhealthy. We may begin to isolate, push people away, or make impulsive decisions. Sometimes we cope with stress by not practicing good self-care, or by overeating.
I would call myself a generalist. What I mean by that is I help people with a variety of life circumstances. I work with ages 11 – adults. I work with many college students who are experiencing difficult times adjusting to college life. I also work with issues such as trauma, mood disorders, men’s issues, and emotional aspects of weight loss/overeating.
When calling, please note that I don’t have a receptionist. Please leave a detailed message on my voice mail. I do individual counseling and only do family counseling for children and teens. I don’t see couples. Appointments can be requested and scheduled online at www.shanthiwellness.com. I want to help you start your journey to find inner peace.
