Rebecca Goettsche
Psychologist - MA, PhD
While life can be deeply challenging, it also has the potential to be deeply rewarding. Psychotherapy provides a space to understand your patterns and their influences, in order to access new tools and ways of being in the world. I help people to have more agency and insight around their emotional experience, which can improve relationships and lead to greater ease and enrichment in your life.
I am an engaged and welcoming therapist, who bridges intellectual understanding with emotional capacity, sensitivity with humor, and wisdom with utility. I have been working as a clinician for 10 years and have extensive experience working with issues related to anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, and shame with adults and teens.
I work with clients who come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and who identify all along the spectrums of gender, sexuality, and relationship orientations. I believe that witnessing is a powerful and necessary experience, particularly when working with marginalized, stigmatized, and invisible identities. I am committed to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space in which to explore the tender and complicated relationship between identity and experience and between your experience and mine.
I believe that listening to what’s inside of your suffering can change your life and that’s why I hope you call me for a consultation today.
