Rawna Romero
Psychotherapist - LMFT
I love helping others. As your therapist, I promise to treat you respectfully and with kindness. I will regard you as a whole and complex person, inherently valuable and with many qualities and strengths beyond the difficulties you may be experiencing. I understand just how challenging life can sometimes be. I also understand how vulnerable it can be to ask for help. As my client, you will experience both a compassionate and skilled professional, and someone warm, authentic, sensitive, ethical, understanding and interactive, who cares that you receive what you need.
Over the course of the past nearly 15 years, I have helped dozens of individuals, couples and families. In the process, they have talked with me about their lives and about their longing for more self-acceptance and closeness with others, a stronger sense of their own inherent goodness, the freedom to express themselves more fully or relief from sorrows or despair that had darkened their lives unbearably. From many backgrounds and orientations, they all shared a similar dream: to live more at peace with themselves and their lives.
Whatever reason you are considering therapy, I promise to support you to the best of my ability. Whether we work together on a short or long term basis, focus on specific goals or your experience of your life as a whole, it will be my honor to assist you.
Persons seek the support of therapy for many reasons, ranging from relief from anxiety and depression, to difficulties in creating and sustaining their relationships with others, to fears of expressing themselves authentically and trusting others. Some seek the assistance of therapy to understand reoccurring anger or conflicts with their loved ones. Others seek the help of therapy to develop new ways of responding to circumstances that have been habitually problematic, to develop more capacity for intimacy and to experience more contentment and joy in their lives. One of my strengths as a therapist in an ability to help create an atmosphere in which even persons wary about the process of therapy can begin to safely explore their psychological and emotional lives and their relationships to themselves and others.
I also have considerable experience working with couples and psychotherapists and others wishing to pursue the opportunities provided by depth psychotherapy.
Whether you are seeking therapy to understand and accept yourself more fully, address difficulties in your relationship, marriage or family, recover from the aftermaths of trauma or abuse or live your life with more freedom, ease or well-being, I would welcome the opportunity to assist you.
