Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor - LCMHC
Recovery is all about connection! I help people struggling with mental health and/or substance use issues to achieve positive change by learning to accept yourself and connect to others, starting with building a counseling relationship that affirms, encourages, and guides you through the process of growth and healing. My role as a therapist is to help you find answers within yourself, build supportive connections, and learn effective coping skills, as you discover your true worth and potential. I will meet you where you are and offer feedback and compassion to help you reach your goals.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate, I have experience treating a wide range of client issues. My theoretical orientation is an integration of Person-Centered and Adlerian Therapy, and I draw heavily from Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing for interventions and techniques.
I’m committed to advocating for positive social change and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds. I’m trained in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy and have a certified therapy dog as my co-counselor. I practice in-person therapy in Caldwell County and Telemental Health and consultation in North Carolina.
