Rachna Rangan
Psychologist - PsyD
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist and credentialed with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. As a psychologist, my practice is informed by current scientific findings in mindfulness research, neuroscience and psychology. I hope to assist you in dealing with changes in your life be it psychological or physical, and to help you make positive changes.
My approach to therapy is grounded within a bio-psycho-social framework that posits that biological, psychological (which entails thoughts, emotions, and behaviors), and social factors, all play a significant role in our optimal functioning and adaptation to our surroundings. With an integration of mindfulness, acceptance and cognitive relational paradigm, we can work collaboratively to help you develop and grow, overcome current problems and make progress in many areas of your life.
Clients I work with are often individuals working through life transitions be it the one from their past, current or one that is upcoming. Some of these include life events involving jobs/career, relationships, medical diagnosis, phases in life, parenthood and other problems of living.Philosophically I believe in tackling a specific problem jointly within a specific timeframe. My typical program is time bound and lasts between 8 – 12 weeks. It can sometimes be intimidating to consider therapy, and I understand that. I invite you to have an complementary introductory conversation, where we can explore if therapy could be helpful for you at this time to deal with the questions you may have.
