Clinical Social Worker/Therapist -
Do you feel overwhelmed with how to parent your child? You are not alone! Rachel is an expert in working with parents and children to find a way to make day to day life more manageable. Rachel specializes in oppositional, “mouthy,” and out-of control children. Rachel tackles this not only with child but with the parent to provide the most inclusive approach to managing behavior. Rachel takes time to look at the history leading to this behavior including assessment of potential traumas. Rachel will partner with you and even come to your home to get a clearer picture as needed to support you and your child.
Rachel has numerous specialties including trauma treatment and received a certificate in Conflict and Trauma from Kansas State University. She also is certified as a mediator and mediates in her spare time with the Mediation Center of Wichita. Rachel just finished writing a program for juvenile justice involved teenagers which helped to decrease arrests.
Rachel believes that often the characteristics that make teenagers difficult to parent are the same skills that will set those teenagers up for success as adults. Rachel also loves doing individual and family therapy. Rachel provides a LGBTQIA+, non-monogamy, and kink affirming therapy experience.
