Nicholas Ulrich
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist -
I believe that one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. Beginning in therapy can be a way for you to start to put together the pieces of your life and who you are. And ultimately, you deserve to live a life that leaves you excited to wake up every morning. I want to be the therapist that helps you along that journey.
As a person-centered therapist, my practice focuses on using compassion, empathy, and positivity to be able to instill a sense of peace and rapport with my clients. I believe that comfort in the therapy office is one of the biggest indicators of change in clients. Additionally, I believe that clients are the ones that have the skills necessary to break through their mental health struggles, and so I offer support in helping clients identify those skills.
Some specialties include working with individuals with depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and complex trauma. As a queer therapist, I also incorporate affirming therapy qualities into my work in order to help LGBTQ+ individuals explore and discuss their identities.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time at the beach, eating good food, or watching something at the movie theater. I also spend much of my time with my two cats and partner.
If any of this resonated with you, please feel free to reach out to me to discuss further options for therapy! Thanks!
