Natasha Lockhart
Licensed Mental Health Counselor -
Life’s struggles can be challenging and overwhelming at times. Deciding to seek counseling services is a major decision and should not be taken lightly. Kudos to you for taking the first step!Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Natasha Lockhart. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I received undergraduate degrees from Oglethorpe University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. In addition, I am also a Certified Grief Profession (CGP), Certified Telemental Health Provider (CTMH) & Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP).My extensive background includes working with a wide range of concerns including mood disorders, anxiety, grief, depression, life transitions, emotional abuse, and parenting concerns. My therapeutic approach is warm, inviting, and interactive. I frequently apply motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive counseling approaches while in session. However, I understand the importance of modifying each session to meet the needs and comfortability of each individual client. As a wife, ex-wife, mother, and counseling professional, I know all too well the complexities of balancing life’s many challenges. I struggled during my teenage years, overcame tremendous obstacles during my emerging adult years (18-24), lost parts of myself in early adulthood (25-35), and discovered my true self at 40! None of it would have been possible if I didn’t have empowerment and encouragement from a supportive therapist. To whom much is given, much will be required. I am fully committed to reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness and the necessity of seeking help. I believe that everyone should be treated with empathy, respect, and understanding. My approach will be reflective of that.
