Nancy Neukomm, formerly Nancy Roberts, MS, NCC, LCPC, is a counselor dedicated to professional and personalized rather than “cookie cutter” treatment. She strives to customize all services to fit the needs of the customer whether that be an individual or family needing private sessions, facilitating a group series for a church, creating a workshop for a business, or designing an educational or motivational lecture for a school or social group.In addition, she has a heart for helping those suffering from addictions. She has experience in not only counseling but also supervising counselors, outreach staff and developing and running programs involving this complex subject matter. Nancy also loves the challenge of working with businesses to solve problems concerning how to retain quality employees as well as lower stress and increase production and creativity. She wholeheartedly believes in a team concept and, therefore, has a team of counselors with whom she brainstorms in order to give each client the best service. In addition, these counselors work with Nancy to fulfill the demands of the private practice. She maintains her private practice offices at: 2205 E. University Ave. Suite A; Urbana, Illinois 61802.Nancy is known as a prominent counselor in the community. Throughout the years she has counseled hundreds of clients with multiple issues, as well as designed and facilitated a variety of educational and therapeutic groups. Nancy has helped develop and run several programs benefiting our community which have encouraged individuals to resolve personal issues and become more independent. She has been recognized in the newspaper and television for this outstanding work while connected with her previous employer, Prairie Center Health Systems.Nancy is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. Cognitive Behavioral therapy techniques she recognizes to be highly effective due to research linking thoughts to behaviors.
