As your therapist, I can help you learn about the relationship between your thoughts, moods, physical symptoms and behaviors. Along the way we can collaborate to develop skills to help you manage stress and any difficult emotions you may be experiencing.
I mainly utilize a trauma-informed approach, as most of my experience has been with at-risk youth and victims of domestic violence However, I don’t subscribe to any single theoretical approach. I employ techniques associated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Psychodynamic theory while allowing you to share your experiences.
I am passionate about empowering women and at-risk youth to live happy, healthy and productive lives. I understand how past experiences and any patterns developed as a result, can often get in the way of you and your best self. I want to be your ally in implementing healthy coping, communication and relationship skills into your daily life.
