Spero PLLC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor - LMHC

When something terrible has happened, it can rock your entire world. Nothing will ever be the same. You’re anxious, depressed, confused, and feeling every feeling and nothing all at once. You’re lashing out, isolating, and losing yourself. When you’re feeling disconnected, stuck in an addiction, depressed, or like you just can’t move on from things that have happened in your life, it’s hard to know where to turn. How do you recover? If you’re unsure where to start, it may be time to seek guidance. I work with all kinds of issues including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) addiction, immigration and acculturation issues, domestic violence, relationship troubles, and codependency. It’s all very complex, and without professional help, it can be challenging to resolve. However, that doesn’t’ mean that it has to take a long time. Often, once we clear the blocks, things return to baseline pretty quickly. I encourage you not to be intimidated into waiting. Given that I am an immigrant myself, I have certain strengths that I can offer. I intimately understand the struggle that comes with feeling like you have to navigate two cultures- and everything that comes with that: intercultural relationships, immigration and deportation issues, split families, language difficulties, addiction as a way to cope, domestic violence from cultural differences or high-stress situations, and codependency when you feel like you’re both alone up against the world. You want a life where you have navigated your struggles: freed yourself from addiction, stopped the fighting, connected to your spouse or family, and found your home. You can have it. You can have a life where you aren’t constantly running from your troubles and your fears. It can happen faster than you think. No more excuses. Don’t let fear or other excuses keep you from healing any longer. I am a Full-licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, EDMR Trained, Certified Domestic Violence Specialist-I, and Credentialed Distance Counselor and I offer affordable online counseling from the comfort of your own home. We can work with your schedule and you don’t even have to come into the office! I can do sessions in English or Portuguese, whatever makes you most comfortable. Let me work with you to help you through the struggles and get you living your best life.
