Michelle Wareham
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist -
My own life challenges and experience has inspired me to use my passion for people to help those who are struggling with addiction and mental health. I learned to respect and love all people no matter race, age, sex, beliefs, and backgrounds. We all have a story that involves feelings, emotions, attitudes and behaviors, every single person needs to be heard, treated with dignity and respect, no matter what is involved in their story, without judgement. We are all in charge of our own happiness, we have the power to make a change. I genuinely believe that everyone has mental health issues at some point in life, we all need some guidance and empowerment to help ourselves tap into our inner strength in order to find balance, peace, and happiness. Life is hard, in my experience with mental health and addiction, I learned that I need to pay attention to all of me, my mind, body, and spirit. We are all individuals, not one person is alike, I develop planning with each person by listening to what they are saying and cater the therapeutic relationship geared towards their interests, strengths, and needs. In my 7 years of experience in working with people battling substance abuse and mental health, I have had the privilege of learning from, and being inspired by their courage, strength, and hope.
