Michelle Protko

Counselor - LMHC, NCC

I have locations in DeLand and Port Orange, and I am here to help foster hope on your journey, whether that is navigating current life stressors, anxiety, depression, a new diagnosis, trauma, grief, parenting tools, communication, relationship issues, or a host of other concerns. I am a client-centered counselor who believes a non-judgmental environment helps to set the stage for healing and empowerment. My goal is to create a respectful and enriching environment that can help you or your family increase insight, communication or identify positive coping skills to meet life’s challenges–ultimately bringing about the power to evolve and heal from life’s trials and traumas. The goal of my practice is to help restore balance, in your life, to a place of positive functioning. I offer therapy to all ages, individuals and families. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida, in good standing. I am also a National Certified Counselor.I specialize in Child and Adolescent Therapy, Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy (Gottmen Level 1 Certified), Parenting Techniques, Grief/Loss, Trauma, Adjustment Disorders, Life Transitions, and I am an LGBTQ+ Ally. I am a member of the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health, Florida Counseling Association, Chi Sigma Iota, and the American Mental Health Counselors Association.
