Michael Seevers
Counselor - LMHP
I believe in the power of talk-therapy to help people heal, adapt, and thrive. I listen with genuine curiosity while doing my best to let go of my own expectations and agendas–hoping to provide you with an atmosphere where you can feel safe and heard, free to listen to your own self and life, and to find your own unique way to healing and better health. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, recovery from trauma, or are coping with life changes, conflict, or loss, talk therapy can be of great help.
However, other tools can help as well, such as EMDR, mindfulness meditation, exercise, nutrition, yoga, creative expression (drawing, journaling, etc.). I think combining these activities with traditional talk therapy gives people the best chance to access their natural tendency to heal and grow, and to experience more enjoyment of their lives. I always look first to the client to suggest what tools they want to try, and which combinations they are ready and willing to pursue.
