It really isn’t that bad. Why is it still bothering you? You can usually handle things, but at this point you’ve tried everything. It’s not that you can’t function, you’re just uncomfortable and might do better with a little bit of help. You’re not used to asking for help and It feels weak but what else is there to do at this point? Might as well try therapy. You’re skeptical but something needs to change. This nagging discomfort needs to go away so you can get on with life.
Know that you are absolutely right: It could be better and you can certainly get there. Rather than that baseline nagging that you’re experiencing, you could move your experience to one where day to day life is just that. There is no harm in seeking a more fulfilling place.
While it’s great that you’re able to generally manage for yourself, I’d be happy to be a sounding board for you. With insight, humor, and a bit of collaboration you and I can work together to get you closer to this ultimate goal you’re seeking.
