Michael Hagan
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC) -
Welcome. You have taken your first courageous step. Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or a routine for you in your quest for a more enriching life, I am appreciative that you are taking the time to explore including me on your journey. Sometimes we just need a little bit of a breather to regroup and reflect, to take a moment as it were to find our way through what can be the tumult of daily living. Engaging in therapy can offer that time out; you will have time to talk out and think through your next steps in your quest for wellbeing. It may be helpful for you to simply have an objective, nonjudgmental other so you can test out your ideas about how to live a fulfilling life. For therapy, it is essential that you feel comfortable and trusting of the therapeutic relationship, so it can be beneficial to meet with several therapists to get a sense about if that person is the person with whom you can achieve some level of peace and serenity in living. To that end, I am happy to meet with you for an initial brief consultation to help us decide if we are the team best suited to meet your needs. Also, you can look through my website where I describe in a bit more detail specifics about how I approach therapy as well as a little about me personally and as a professional.
My pronouns are he/him/his.
