Melanie Yoder Salim
Psychotherapist - LCSW
In my work, I experience the transformation and healing therapy brings when we become reconnected to ourselves and others. I have over 17 years of experience working with people in significant distress. I co-create a therapeutic alliance that is ethical, safe, and effective. I tailor my therapeutic approach to you. I enjoy humor, and have a relaxed, accepting, and compassionate style. I am comfortable with anger, and I appreciate feed back and evaluation. I often see individuals who have difficulty connecting with a therapist or finding the right fit, those “encouraged” to attend by a parent, spouse, or partner, and those who are doubtful therapy can help.
In working with people from all walks of life, I see individuals and couples with relational problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood and thought disorders. I have additional experience with teenagers, persons who are disabled with chronic health and mental health conditions, and intellectual disabilities.
