Hello my name is Maureen, and I’m a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of psychotherapy experience, and everyone is welcome in my practice.  I’m from Lapeer county, Michigan and have strong ties to Detroit and surrounding area.I’ve worked with people who have had a wide range of challenges and who needed the help of a compassionate and skilled therapist. Because of my many years of working with a very diverse population of people, I’ve been able to create a very eclectic style that I believe takes the best of each therapy model and am able to create a very tailored treatment for each person who allows me to help them on their journey. I help people to recognize and utilize their strengths and believe that people have the best answers for themselves and need to learn how to find them and use them for their continued growth.I love using interventions that combine supportive and goal directed strategies as well as teaching and focusing on the mind-body connection. My favorite form of therapy is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and have found great success with EMDR, CBT and many others. I’ve always invested a lot of time and energy into improving my skills for the benefit of my clients, so I frequently attend continuing education seminars and conferences.I’m a proud Give an Hour provider and donate pro-bono services for our military, veterans and their families.
