Mary Gress
Therapist -
We are in a constant state of grief and gratitude. Finding how to dance within this process is a central theme in many of our lives, and one that can only bring peace and acceptance when we understand that these two emotions can be held at the same time. This is an important concept for anyone trying to become or who may already be a caregiver or parent. Therapy can provide new techniques and perspectives that can help you move through pain and complex situations. Mental health is a muscle that needs to be taken care of and strengthened. Just as you would go to the doctor for preventative or acute care, working with a therapist can provide clarity and healing.I work with clients at their own pace and implement a holistic approach using the existential, feminist, and biopsychosocial therapeutic modalities. I work with these modalities through a spiritual lens and often use techniques in mindfulness, guided imagery, nature-based medicine and somatic practices to connect the mind, body, and soul for optimal healing and peace.
