Psychotherapist - LCPC
My goal as a therapist is to put you back in touch with your own unique voice and sense of self that allows you to thrive. I use a psychodynamic, existential approach to find solutions to the unique challenges your life contains. Through building on open and honest relationship, we will explore effective coping tools and new ways to look at persistent issues that affect you.
Through my inpatient psychiatric training at Linden Oaks Hospital, I was able to treat issues ranging from persistent anxiety, to depression, substance abuse, and relationship issues. In addition, I am very familiar and comfortable with treating LGBT individuals. My graduate training at the Adler School of Professional Psychology has specifically prepared me to handle issues faced by older adults such as grief and loss, retirement transitions, and issues related to aging. As a member of NAMI and the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis, I’ve been able to stay connected to the newest treatment modalities and the most passionate members of the counseling field.
By exploring life’s difficult questions in a comfortable atmosphere, I aim to provide healing to adults of all ages. I often use narrative approaches to help you tell your story, so that you achieve a sense of clarity and relief. Everyone’s journey in therapy is different and meaningful & I look forward to starting that discovery with you.
