Mark Levine

Drug & Alcohol Counselor/Therapist and Certified Life Coach -

Is your mind at peace? Or has stress led to emotional and physical consequences that have become unbearable? Maybe you “manage” your stress with addictive substances or behaviors. Maybe you are a family member of someone with a substance or behavioral addiction and are confused by all the advice you’re getting from friends. Maybe chronic anxiety or worry has led to physical or emotional pain.

I see many clients who react to stressful situations as if on autopilot. Stress is not a fact of life you have to accept. Neither are addictions. Using a mindful, compassionate and nonjudgmental approach I can help you learn how to gain a fresh perspective on the stressors in your life. Working together, not to “get by”, but to thrive.

I’ve also been trained to help parents and spouses dealing with an addiction in the family. This specific Invitation to Change approach combines science with kindness to help move your loved into treatment and maintain support, while focusing on your own well-being.

You will notice a warm and inviting space when you first walk in. (And if we are online you’ll see how easy and comfortable it is to communicate with me. I’ve been doing online therapy long before COVID-19). From this space I use a person centered and mindfulness based approach that focuses on your goals, whether to prevent relapse, or to reduce stress and anxiety from whatever its source. My goal is to helping you unleash your full potential and bring your mind to peace even in the midst of life’s storms.

For more information about me and my practice please visit mindsatpeace.net. Watch my videos and read my blogs.

If you don’t see an available session time that you’d like please email me and let’s work something out. PLEASE NOTE ALL SESSIONS ARE CURRENTLY HELD ONLINE TO REDUCE YOUR RISK OF INFECTION FROM COVID-19. For details on my online sessions read my blog https://mindsatpeace.net/blog/making-telehealth-accessible-and-engaging

A word about insurance: I am a private pay provider. I prefer to keep the insurance company out of our therapy room. By doing so we never have to worry if the insurance company will request to see confidential notes or have them dictate how many sessions you need. Everything is strictly between you and me.
