Manasa Dotson
Licensed Professional Counselor -
Manasa Dotson is a nationally certified Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with adolescents and adults in individual, couple and family modalities. She received a BA in Psychology and a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas.
She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, communication and family dynamics. Her experience includes working at residential, inpatient, partial hospitalizations and intensive outpatient levels of care.
As a person of South Asian descent and a first generation American, she can relate to the immigrant experience as well as the experience of being the child of immigrants. She has a unique experience and understanding of cultural acceptance, diversity, interracial relationships and family transitions.
She believes that everyone deserves to feel comfortable, confident, and have a sense of belonging in their own communities. She believes that the client is the expert on themselves and therefore approaches counseling as a collaboration between herself and the client.
