Lynndal Daniels
Psychotherapist, Board Certified Coach -
Think of me as your co-explorer on a journey into your mind. I’ll be there to help hold the flashlight as you navigate difficult terrain and explore your inner landscape … making the changes that you as the expert on your life want or need to make.Over the past 20+ years, I have developed a unique approach to therapy. My goal is to work from a perspective of “not knowing,” which allows me to work with you without my assumptions and beliefs about what’s best for you getting in the way.Empathy is important, but a good therapist should never assume that they know exactly what you’re experiencing. That’s why I take a stance of “not knowing” — or curiosity — in asking questions. That way, I can better understand what’s happening for you.For example, if you tell me, “I’m depressed,” I don’t assume I know exactly what that means to you. Your experience and feelings are unique to you and I will want to ask questions to find out exactly what “I’m depressed” means and looks like in your life. You are the true expert on how you experience your life. Together, we can help you become aware of any solutions or changes you want to make and help you make them.
