Liza Blank
Psychotherapist - LCSW
Each person comes to therapy with different goals and styles, and I will approach you as a unique individual. I have a compassionate, direct, and interactive presence. In therapy with me, you will find a welcoming space to explore yourself at a pace that feels right to you. You will have the opportunity to become more aware of your feelings and needs, try new behaviors and discover aspects of yourself you might not know. Together, we can identify and develop your inner resources and build the tools you need to achieve your goals. I believe that starting with compassion for oneself is key to bringing about lasting change.
It is because of the relationships that surround us that we develop our ability to function, learn and grow. I believe that the authentic, safe, and protected relationship of therapist and client offers a rare place to tackle the hurts and challenges that are getting in the way of your greater fulfillment.
I have an eclectic repertoire of training that I use flexibly in my work. My therapeutic work is grounded in my training in Gestalt therapy, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I use mindfulness as a tool to support people to develop the capacity to tolerate painful and challenging emotions.
It is so important that you find the therapist who is the right fit for you. When we meet, I encourage you to ask questions and take the time and space to assess your comfort level.
