Hello, my name is Lital Diament and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT 96310) practicing in the Los Angeles and Ventura County (Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks & Moorpark) areas.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree on Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Northridge, and in 2009, I received my Masters of Arts degree in Psychology from the Phillips Graduate Institue in Encino.
I utilized my Bachelor of Arts degree by working as a tutor, a behaviorist and a teacher, focusing on the developmental processes that occurs from conception through the end of adolescence. During this time, I gained a comprehensive overview of typical and atypical development by interacting with individuals in their natural environment and watching them unfold into their full potential.
At Phillips Graduate Institute I studied Marriage and Family Therapy with a concentration in Dual Diagnosis or Co-Occurring Disorders (alcohol or drug problems coinciding with emotional/psychiatric problem, such as Bipolar Disorders, Depression, Personality Disorders, and Anxiety Disorders). I have continued working with children and adolescents, young adults, and families in various fields, including research, education, health care, advocacy, law, and psychotherapy.
My approach is a holistic one—I look at the whole person in order to identify the basic core self, taking into consideration any underlying medical issues, such as autoimmune disorders, as factors in emotional well-being. I also specialize in working with women who are struggling with all aspects of infertility and pregnancy loss.
