Lisa Franz
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist -
My ideal client is the individual adolescent, individual adult or family system facing challenging experiences and needing skilled guidance getting back to homeostasis. Homeostasis are the needed variables that help regulate the individual and or family system toward stability. I encourage clients to form an alliance with me, allowing safe, and vulnerable therapeutic experiences to occur . Once our alliance is safely formed, we will work interactively, to gain understanding, develop skills and revisit challenges. Challenges that are safely exposed, processed and skillfully revisited, allow self-awareness and self – acceptance to become incorporated into the whole self, increasing the quality of ones’ life.I have twenty years of clinical experience and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an additional Certification in School Social Work. After earning a Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, in 1993, I began treating adolescents and families struggling with emotional and behavior issues.I have experience working in, and outside the public school system providing need based services in crisis intervention, individual counseling, group counseling and family counseling. I have written articles during my tenure, presented at speaking engagements, and provided training, and supervision to second year Master level students.
