Leslie Kleyweg
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (supervised by Dr Nancy Thomas, LPC-S) -
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Concordia University in Illinois and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University in Colorado. My formal education and 20 years of professional experience have prepared me to counsel adults individually and in a group setting. While there are many approaches to therapy and significant benefits from each, I choose to work from the Humanistic framework. When this approach is used, the client and the counselor move through the sessions together with the client leading the way. Being present and actively engaged with my client through listening, encouraging and genuine curiosity is what you can expect during a session. Further, I place great value on the therapeutic relationship. My objective is to foster a trusting relationship with you and develop a safe environment where you feel comfortable sharing your hurts and struggles.
