Lawrence Stroup
Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW
Life has a way of presenting unforeseen circumstances for all of us. Having support when we need it the most is a valued need and a service I help provide to my clients. I focus on helping you find strength, build on hope, and develop skills to become more resilient for the challenges you may face.
I have worked with people from all ages and stages of life by helping to serve individuals, groups, and families in outpatient, residential, and inpatient settings. I have spent much of the last few years providing care in crisis and acute environments. My practice is currently focused on serving adults.
Many clients have shared appreciation for an authentic, calm, caring, nonjudgmental approach for helping process their unique needs. Most people begin to feel better after a few sessions as they discuss their stressors, relationships, hopes, and dreams while we collaboratively plan ways to help make improvements to meet your goals. I use an eclectic, person centered, strengths based, cognitive approach with individual clients to identify and process needs. In your first sessions we will focus on identifying challenges and further sessions will focus on change development. With couples, our first few sessions will be thorough assessment with subsequent sessions focused on addressing current stressors and goals.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2007 and have provided services clinically since 2014. I am licensed in Indiana as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am also a Certified Financial Social Worker. I provide therapy via telehealth only at this time to persons residing in Indiana.
