Lauren Rushton
Licensed Professional Counselor Intern - LPC Intern
Adolescents can be challenging to connect with, especially when you are their parent. It is a time of adjustment and has its own special set of challenges. My goal in therapy is to walk parents and their teens (and tweens) through these challenges in order to get the relationship to a point where there is healthy communication and a greater sense of peace in the home. In this process I work to address the issues of the individual and work to strengthen family relationships.
About me: I was born and raised in Denton Texas and moved to Houston after I got married in 2013. I have an older brother and a younger sister. In my free time I love to try new types of food, go for walks or runs at the park, play board games with family and friends, and watch sports on TV.
My Education and Credentials: I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I graduated with my Masters in Counseling from the Houston Graduate School of Theology. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor intern.
